Tulips

• The Dutch botanical paintings of the 17th century really opened my eyes to tulips. This flower just seemed to epitomize the genre, but somehow the very profusion of flowers works against the glory and uniqueness of a single bloom. At any rate I needed to isolate some of these so I could really explore their nature.
